Bodyweight Workouts & Progressive Overload

Bodyweight workouts are great because they can be done almost anywhere! But how do you increase intensity to incorporate progressive overload?

We'll we've got a couple options!

The first option...do more! Increase the number of reps until you can't accomplish the last rep. Next workout session, aim for more!

The second option...slow down! Decrease the speed of your motions to increase time under tension. What is time under tension? Exactly like it sounds, the amount of time a muscle is under tension, meaning your muscle fibers are being incorporated for a longer duration, attributing to more fatigue and muscle growth.

Now incorporate adding reps paired with reduced rep speed for added gains, achieving progressive overload!

No equipment. No excuses.
